It is strange in New Zealand that we will see the four seasons in one day. The weather was not like the day before. It seems that I will get a cold, but I hope not.
In the morning lesson, we started the lecture with a speaking activity. Everyone should answer general questions, and found other students has common answers, such as what you were doing at nine o'clock last Saturday evening and what do you like doing in your free time. It was about using different verb tenses like past simple, past perfect and present continues.
In the afternoon lesson, I decided what subject that I am going to write about, so I got the approval from Hilary to write about "All Whites". I am sure that I will find it interesting because I like every thing related to soccer. Hilary was trying to persuade me to write about my specialty field, but I want to try a different one.
Also, we discussed some information about state and action verbs, when we can use them and how. Next to that, we learned about auxiliary verbs do, be and have with different uses of them. We can use them to emphasis, form a tag question, show interest, form a short answer to a question, and to avoid repeating words or phrases.
Then, we listened to a conversation about gossip, and it was the first to me to heard that word. After that, we practiced intonation by listening to some questions which was part of auxiliary verbs.
At the end of time, we had a second speaking activity which was about the past tense. Also, the teacher gave us homework to do, and I am going to finish it afterward.
