Fast and exciting day!

I do not know what happened to me today, I was so excited and active more than last days. Despite that, I could not sleep  last night. Never mind, it was so exciting day.

In the morning, I attended a conversation workshop with the same teacher that I came with last term. It was just twenty dreary minutes, and I am planning not to attend it anymore. I did not have a chance to speak even for one sentence. It was not the teacher mistake. We were seven students, and that was hard to handle.

After that class, I went to the David class, and we had a short review about what we have studied last week. Also, we had a speaking activity about men and women brains. It was interesting to knew some information about the men and women brains, and how they think. We did some exercises and every two students tested each other whether their brains is a man or a women brain. I got the first choice which is a man brain according to the book answers.

In the afternoon class, we studied module four. It was about the passive, and I have studied it long time ago. So it was not new for me. We practiced about it the whole lecture, and it seems to be easy. I hope to do well on the passive during the exam.

Hi Ali,

Glad to hear you understand the passive form easily. The thing students often have problems with is using it well in their writing. The passive's more about organising ideas in writing clearly than it is about grammatical accuracy. It helps us communicate clearly because we don't have to change the subject of the sentence, which gives the reader the focus/topic (or 'known'). It helps to 'orientate' the reader, and this helps keep the message of a sentence clear (the 'new' information).

Hi Marcus, good morning.

You're completely right.

I'm happy to see you here.

Thanks a lot
