Yesterday class was so quiet, and some of the students were absent. In the IELTS preparation class with Carolyn, we studied a graph about a computer survey which asked people if models and famous people were too thin or not.
Also, we looked at some mistakes that students always do. For example, we should write most people if we are talking in general, and if we are talking about a group of people we should write most of the people in this room. That lecture was about forming noun phrases and how to make it complex as much as we can.
In the second lesson, it was David who explained emphasis topic and cleft sentences. It was such a marvelous lecture because it is helpful for daily life language. At the end, we practiced a lot in how to make a cleft sentences in the correct way.

My last comment seems to have disappeared! Did you see it?
I said that cleft sentences are very important, particularly for organising your ideas in writing and communicating the key parts of your message clearly.
Sorry Marcus, I haven't seen anything.
Maybe it was a bug in your PC or the Internet connection.
Thanks for the addition.
